2. Provision and hosting

FootPilot is hosted by Render Services, Inc. When the service is accessed, technically necessary connection and server data may be processed, including IP address, time, requested resource and browser/device information. This processing is used to provide FootPilot securely and reliably. Render may also process data outside the European Economic Area.

3. Local settings

FootPilot does not require a user account. Favourite teams, language, TV country, time zone and parts of the notification settings may be stored locally in the browser or app. These data are used only to provide the functions and preferences you selected and remain stored until you change them or delete the website/app data on your device.

4. Push notifications

Push notifications are activated only when you explicitly enable them and grant the relevant device or browser permission. For web/PWA push, FootPilot may store the technical push subscription including endpoint and encryption keys. In the Android app, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) by Google is used for push notifications; this includes processing a technical FCM registration token. A randomly generated device ID, your favourite teams, enabled reminder types and selected app language may additionally be stored on the FootPilot server. These data are used to send the match and top-match reminders you requested. If you disable both FootPilot reminder categories, the associated server-side push data is deleted. You may revoke notification permission at any time in your device or browser settings.

5. Football and TV data

Match, competition and TV data are retrieved server-side through the Sportmonks API. FootPilot does not transmit personal data of end users to Sportmonks as part of these normal data requests.

6. Advertising in the Android app

The free Android version of FootPilot uses Google AdMob to display advertising. Premium users do not receive FootPilot banner ads. In connection with AdMob, Google may process technical information such as IP address, device and advertising information, technical identifiers, information about ad delivery and interactions with ads. The specific data processed depends, among other things, on device settings, region and your consent choices.

7. Advertising consent management

For users in regions where consent is required, FootPilot uses the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). It can be used to request and store choices relating to advertising and associated data processing. Where required, personalised advertising or related storage/access operations are used only after consent. Consent can be changed or withdrawn through the privacy options made available in the app when Google requires such an entry point for the device.

8. Premium and Google Play Billing

The optional FootPilot Premium subscription is processed in the Android app through Google Play Billing. Payment and subscription management are handled by Google Play. FootPilot does not receive complete payment or credit-card details. The app processes only the technical purchase and product information required to activate and verify Premium, such as product identifier, purchase status and purchase acknowledgement.

9. Retention

Local settings remain until changed or until website/app data is deleted on your device. Push data is retained while at least one FootPilot reminder is enabled and the technical registration remains valid. Associated server-side push data is deleted when both reminder categories are disabled or permanently invalid push endpoints or tokens are detected. Technical server data is kept only as long as necessary for operation, security and troubleshooting or as required by the technical logging of the relevant service provider.

10. Recipients and international transfers

Depending on the function used, Render Services, Inc. and Google services such as Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Play and Google AdMob/UMP may process technical or personal data. Processing outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States, may be possible. FootPilot uses these services only for the functions described above.

11. Your rights

Subject to the GDPR, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
